Feature Request: Migrate from OpenTrace to OpenTelemetry as standard

👋 Hi team,

Currently vitess is using datadog and opentrace, similiar to #13744 we were wondering if it would be possible to use opentelemetry for tracing in addition to metrics ?

I have been trying to implement this and have found out that Jaegar currently does not support OpenTelemetry so as of now opentracing will have to continue being used.
Datadog does have OpenTelemetry support and i think it should be possible for the datadog tracer to have both opentelemetry and opentracing support.
