Currently the three primary reindex plugin requests do not implement our standard AbstractXContentTestCase testing infrastructure. This infrastructure would have detected issues like #43406.

The requests in need are:

  • UpdateByQueryRequest
  • ReindexRequest
  • DeleteByQueryRequest
