Had a brief conversation with George (and Don!) about the RvsR/Dead Time/exposure correction, and what came out was the following proposal:
The SDC should put in the hooks for a pixel by pixel dead time correction for each L1C Pointing Set
For the very near term, we calculate a 'universal dead time correction' based on a start rate of 100Khz singles rate (based on JENI data). This would be in the form of a pixel by pixel L1C exposure time correction. We send this to the SDC, and this is what they use to hook in to the pipeline.
Once we have actual data, we can refine how the pipeline does this correction, including transitioning Nick's current algorithm to the SDC.
This simplifies the current pipeline tasks for the SDC - so that we have something working by June - and it provides a first order dead time correction that we can go to orbit with.
