Is there a feature like "Speed dial" from Vivaldi

Hey y'all!

Looking to move to Zen browser, but I'm a bit held back as I can't find a "speed dial" feature, something how Vivaldi has.

Does Zen have anything like this? I can't seem to find it, it's the only thing holding me back.

Hello, are you referring to Zen's new tab page shortcuts?

Starting with version 1.7.5b, the new tab page got replaced with a floating search bar.
If you want to get back the new tab page you can set zen.urlbar.replace-newtab to false inside the about:config preferences.

Note

If you're not familiar with about:config please be cautious because editing wrong preferences in there could break Zen.

Hello!
The new search bar is sort of what I'm looking for, but seems like it's a bit hard to control and lacking the features of Vivaldi's speed dial.

Maybe I'm not using it right? I can't seem where to remove the default icons on there (Notion, github, reddit, etc), I thought it was manageable my the bookmarks tab, but I don't see thos tabs in there.

Is there also the ability to put some of those icons into folders?

Does anyone know if an alterative to Vivaldi's Speed Dial?
All the extensions I've found don't have nearly the same feature set / customizability.

I'm looking into hosting my own Homepage, but if this feature exists in Zen already, I'd much rather use that.

No, unfortunately, no browser really has that feature other than Vivaldi. I really like it to. However, you can at least control the shortcuts in Zen. Just hover your mouse over the ones you don't want there and click on the 3-dot menu. Then you'll see an option to remove/unpin the shortcut.
Also, like the other comment mentioned, go to about:config and change the (zen.urlbar.replace-newtab) setting to false and that will enable you start out on your shortcut page.
