Description
This idea comes in multiple possible configurations, but what it boils down to is: Since there is available resources in the open source community, and since they are free to use/modify/distribute (so long as you include the license), we should use them to increase the speed of development by better networking and integrate with others. UniGetUI is a great app with support for many different package managers, and FluentStore provides what is in my opinion a much nicer looking UI. Together, we get the best of both worlds, plus accelerated development and more widespread appeal to potential future contributors.
I will demonstrate the possible configurations in the alternative solutions tab, to keep everything organized.
Alternative solutions
The easiest way to do this, from what I can figure, is to have FluentStore mount an instance of UniGetUI as if it were a plugin. It may be an even better idea, for that matter, to simply create a plugin and make the plugin interface with UniGetUI, maintaining more consistency with the current plugin architecture that FluentStore has set up.
I would like to see what is possible when my two favorite open-source microsoft store replacement/alternative apps united forces. Is it a good idea? A bad idea? Feel free to offer your thoughts. I would appreciate it.
