License clarity for examples and templates

Currently, the licensing for examples and templates is unclear.

The wxt-dev/examples repository has no license notation, and it is not explicitly stated that the code can be used freely.

Regarding templates, they are located within the wxt repository. This could be interpreted to mean that the MIT License applies. Therefore, this implies that all programs created from templates might need to include a copyright notice for the MIT-licensed WXT files they are based on. (I am not a lawyer, so this may not be accurate.) Personally, I see no issue with this requirement.
However, when a new project is scaffolded using templates via npx wxt@latest init, no license information remains. As a result, users who use the templates are likely unaware of licensing obligations.

My questions are:

• Is this intended?
• For clarity and ease of use, would it be possible to clearly state the licensing for examples and templates?
  • Could be under a public domain-equivalent license (like CC0-1.0, Unlicense, or simply stating "Public domain" in a README.md) or MIT License.
  • This might be difficult given the large number of existing contributors.
