Rendering MyST flavored markdown feature request? #143

Description

@odellus

Is there any roadmap for using myst or something like that for rendering?

So I've been working on integrating a codemirror editor into the sandbox for mystmd.org on the codemirror-editor branch of my fork of their repo. Most of the logic for the myst parsing I found here in myst-demo and transferred over into my fork's branch.

I just heard about whitewind today somehow so I started an account and it seems to only support pretty basic markdown rendering. I was really surprised to see that whitewind is a markdown editor and a preview because that's exactly what I've been working on. I even started with the same markdown-editor y'all use. Great minds think alike lol!

So yeah this is a feature request but also just like an appreciation post and collaboration request maybe? It would be great to hear some feedback on this idea. Started out with "I need a long form atproto blog site" which started with pandoc then jupyter-book, and now I see y'all have 90%+ of the other things I was trying to incorporate in here already because I don't know it's 2025 and there's A Certain Way We Do Things.

I've put together a TODO for what I was going to do sans any cooperation and since I'm a DIY freak with a PDS server I'll probably go that route anyway, but I think it'd be super cool to have this functionality (MyST rendering, themes, etc) in whtwnd and I'm sure any feedback I could get from this issue/feature request would be enormously helpful.
