Main content of the page is no longer a common idiom without dedicated element

In section 4.14. Common idioms without dedicated elements there is section about the main part of the content. It offers several ways to mark up main content (not do it at all, use section etc.).

However #3354 caused that now main part of the content has its own dedicated element, main:

The main element represents the dominant contents of the document.

Section 4.14.1 seems obsolete after this change. Shouldn't it be removed?

Agree with @Comandeer.

If not marking it obsolete, then revising the section to state that the main element is the preferred method to indicate the primary content of a document. The other methods would imply the primary content, due to the absence of the main element.
