What problem does this feature solve?

Having github buttons like [ Star ] or [ Fork ] directly on your page, described here : https://buttons.github.io

What does the proposed API look like?

Plugin which injects the loading of the external github javascript somewhere before /body
Together with a Vue component which displays the button as shown here : https://buttons.github.io

How should this be implemented in your opinion?

Most likely a new plugin, but as Github buttons are so known and important to OSS projects, I think it could be a default plugin.

Thanks for the good suggestion, but we don't think this feature should be included in the repo of VuePress. so you can create a plugin by yourself and inform us. we'll create a awesome list about VuePress later.
