Currently on Engage, we have a case that the error message between TextBox and TextArea does not match. More information included in the attached image.

Expected result / actual result

The error message of TextArea should align with TextBox message.
In this specific case: "Maximum length exceeded (255/254 characters)".

Looks like this issue stems from the UI library:

So these messages could certainly be aligned to fix the immediate issue. However I'm not sure we should really be displaying this value at all, as ideally we'd want a localised message here.

This should be aligned, in the UI Library for general usage.

And then this can be overwritten in the specific Property Editors with localized messages.

I would vote for Maximum 254 characters, 1 too many(notice there is a mistake in the screenshot of the textarea that should be corrected) — this approach is more human readable and displays how many character you need to remove, lowering the conitive effort to decode the required action to furfill the requirements.

Where the parantese and a slash aproach could be misunderstood and requires some calculation, which can be tricky when numbers exceed bounderies like 100s. As in (96/103 characters)
