Add a repository of real simulations [e.g. scalars, trees etc]

A repository of real simulations that are physically relevant, e.g. the xie and castro case, some tree simulations, the South Kensington simulation, the simulation case used for the tutorial etc. Only the startup files -- these cases are expected to require HPC resources to complete.
