RELEASE
Current Behavior
no audio with HDMI. turn off GOM and HDMI audio comes back in linux 7 but as fedora 44 boots, the display disappears right before the orange pi 5 plus LED turns green. it comes back if I switch to the other HDMI port. there isn’t a way to boot this thing without switching HDMI ports because whatever I’m plugged into flips off and activates the other HDMI port.
Is there some sort of handoff when the kernel loads the GPU driver? I can’t tell if this is EDK setting something up wrong and a handoff doenst go as expected or if the GPU driver isn’t quite understanding that EDK has set up for it before it loads.
Expected Behavior
boot on an HDMI port should lead to a GUI on the same port. I shouldn’t half to switch ports halfway through.
Steps To Reproduce
install fedora 44 off usb. disable GOM in firmware. this will enable audio over HDMI, but trigger this bug.
boot into fedora. fedora will kill HDMI output on whatever port you are currently plugged into, but allow it again on the unused port.
Build Environment
- OS(s): fedora 44

I’m not sure if I reported this in the right place, honestly. I cannot tell if it’s linux messing up or EDK2 messing up.
