Description
In Sweden few bridges have a max weight sign which contain the allowed weight in a numerical format.
Instead a weight class system is normally used. With four categories: BK1, BK2, BK3 and BK4. Other than this number, the signs are identical to eachother:
- BK1:
maxweight=64 - BK2:
maxweight=51,4 - BK3:
maxweight=37,5 - BK4:
maxweight=74
I have found a few notes of people who found the lack of options for these signs confusing, but I suspect even more used the "There is no sign" option, leading to incorrect data.
I think this could be fixed this by adding a new sign that allows an integer between 1 and 4, and tags the correct weight.
However, when looking through the wiki, I noticed that a similar system exists in new zeeland: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:maxweight#New_Zealand
So maybe a solution for both could be used. Anyone from new zeeland here who knows the system, and how common such signs are?
