I think it would be great to have a client-side way to ignore and notify nicks using /ignore and /notify commands like many other IRC clients do.
Otherwise we have to rely on the server to implement extensions such as silence/watch/monitor but they're not always available and it might depend on having a user account on said server.
The ignores and notifies could then be managed in the config.toml file in the [ignores] and [notifies] sections like it's done in IRSSI's config, for instance.
