Event on release connections?

Is there any way to get notified when a connection is released back to pool?

Need it for monitoring pool state.

Do my app will loose bigger amount of performance?

Full merge is unlikely ( mysql2 is not a fork and completely different implementation ) though parts of the pool code are imported from mysqljs/mysql ( /lib/pool.js, lib/pool_connection.js etc ) and this library would definitely benefit from shared library code for pool. Another scenario is somebody ports all the extra features from mysql2 ( mainly prepared statements ) and I declare this project stopped and redirect focus to mysqljs/mysql
