Long range wifi to DMX

Thanks for the great code !

I would like to do the following :

Artnet/ DMX Player (Raspberry Pi with Falcon Player) with 2 universes
Ethernet cable
Artnet wifi sender
Air
Artnet wifi receiver, splits the 2 universes to each a wired DMX signal. Standard DMX for RGBW DMX lamps. No fastled, no neopixels.

Would that be possible ?

The air distance is quite long approx. 250m, that will work with directional antennas and normal wifi.
For better signal quality, would it be possible to run your code with the ESP32 LR protocol ?
That would require espwifi.h to be included.

Hi Harald,

maybe there are more things to consider than "put espwifi.h in".
If you have a reliable good WiFi connection for that 250m, than go for it. All things are basically done with my example code. (As suggested, with big directional antennas on both sides.)

But if you would like to use a different "air protocol", than it's on your side. I choose WiFi because it is easy.

I guess there is example code for a "ESP32 LR point-to-point" setup. So do something like this:

On your "Artnet wifi sender" put my code in to receive the ArtNet data via Ethernet from that Falcon play, and in my onDmxFrame call a ESP32 LR-function to transmit data over.

On the "Artnet wifi receiver" just use that example code from ESP (receiver side example) and put in whatever "receive"-function a transmit to DMX on a cable.
