This is some WIP on an attempt to create scripts to automate the release process steps described in
RELEASE.md. Most of this code is written by Claude, and by one attempt to actual use it was only a partial success, so its not ready to go. I am also not going to spend more time working on it right now, but figured I'd open a PR to share my work.
