The release drafter is the current standard across redis clients for starting to write better release notes. The drafter takes pull requests tagged as either maintenance, bug, or feature and slots the item into the release notes, based on the pull request title.
After this merge, releases made via the release drafter will be able to publish to PyPi (pending changes there too).
