Open Source License problem #54

@Cryolitia

Description

@Cryolitia

This repo's code is clearly derived from GPL v2 code:

/******************************************************************************
*
* Copyright(c) 2007 - 2017 Realtek Corporation.
*
* This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it
* under the terms of version 2 of the GNU General Public License as
* published by the Free Software Foundation.
*
* This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT
* ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or
* FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the GNU General Public License for
* more details.
*
*****************************************************************************/

But the repo is licensed under GPL v3:

aic8800/LICENSE

Lines 1 to 2 in eb8652a

GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE
Version 3, 29 June 2007

We need clarity to continue to work on packaging it. As it stands it looks a lot like a violation of Realtek's (and probably other kernel developers') copyright.

I would like to know where does Radxa get these codes. Does Radxa get a promise from upstreamer that the license GPL v3 is correct and legitimate. Could you please confirm it from where you get the code.
