Now that Testsuya has contributed a full pytest translation, there are some fixes and further changes neccessary:

• fix regendoc to also work on the "ja" tree
• think about versioning of pytest docs now that en and ja can diverge
• bring en/ja docs online under a "dev" link

The Japanese docs were removed from the source in commit 9e549a1 Sep 29 2014. So I'm going to close this and if anyone is inspired to start a new translation they should open a new issue or PR.

Yes. I can understand current status. I want to contribute new translation and workflow, but now I have no time to do that. So, I'll do in the future.

Thanks @t2y. By the way I don't think it's necessary to exactly copy the English docs - if you write a tutorial etc just in Japanese that is great too. Also we intend to start a pytest blog very soon, and would be happy to link or publish materials like that!

@t2y there is a rough plan to set up gettext for the docs and use one of the web based tools for it to make the process easy,

Once that's done creating and maintaining translations should be far more streamlined

@RonnyPfannschmidt Really? That might be a thing I wanted. If you're considering sphinx-i18n feature with web-based translation application, @shimizukawa (Japanese Sphinx committer) has good knowledge and hopefully he helps us.

I have published the pytest-docs-l10n project, which aims to translate the Pytest Documentation into mulitple languages. See the announcement post for more details.

If the target language is not supported in the project yet, please submit an issue to request for the new language. Once the requested language is added, you can start translating!
