I might revisit later but to be honest I'm not sure the previous release UX is correct either. What would happen previously is that the old set would get deleted entirely and replaced by the new one, discarding e.g. extra difficulties the user may have added. Not sure what the actual expectations here are for behaviour.

In stable you can update a single difficulty without updating the rest of the set. If it's not possible to do in lazer (as in there must be only a single update button for the whole set), I'd expect it to update only existing difficulties.

Maybe add an option to redownload the whole set through context menu? Since it's a pretty common occurrence in stable (e.g. when mapper updates background, hitsounds, adds new difficulties). Ideally it would merge with an existing set, so it won't erase any user-made difficulties.
