System fails to boot due to general protection faults caused by Dell drivers with Kernel 5.11 #47

Hello everyone,

after updating to Linux 5.11, Pop!_OS on my Dell Latitude E5270 fails to start up due to a bunch of general protection faults caused by dell_wmi related stuff. I've done a bit of research on the problem and Arch users using similar Dell notebooks also had that issue, which for them got fixed by 5.11.11.

I'm currently running an rc of 5.12 from Ubuntu's Kernel PPA and everything except changing the display brightness works.
I've attached an excerpt from journalctl with the errors, if there's anything I can test (or copy from system logs) for you, tell me. :)

5.8 worked completely fine (even the display brightness).

Thank you very much in advance.
