Unread notification from repo I cannot access

For a few weeks now I have had 1 unread notification from a repository called plasma-ping/plasma.to which I have never even heard of and I have no idea what this is.

In fact, I am thinking it is a private or deleted repo since I get a 404 when I visit https://github.com/plasma-ping/plasma.to

Can someone help me to clear this notification?

Thank you for that, it worked! I did not have the GitHub API installed, but that was simple.

Once installed I just had to:

• run gh api 'notifications?unread=true'
• copy the ID from the returned object
• run gh api --method DELETE -H 'Accept: application/vnd.github+json' -H 'X-GitHub-Api-Version: 2022-11-28' notifications/threads/<COPIED_ID_GOES_HERE>

Worked well! But is not the right solution for solving such problems.
Either hiding notifications from inaccessible repositories or banning repository owners sending notifications to users who have no access is necessary for users sake.

Seems like it's a scam pretending to be Plasma, a blockchain platform. Similar to what @ghid shared (Gitcoin scam).

Yes, I agree @ok-coder1 - and, I've certainly never subscribed to this repo; I'm worried about how it could get on into my watchlist though and changed my password right away.

IIRC just pinging someone in an Issue/PR/Discussion will add you to the watchlist.
They probably have some kind of tool (utilizing the GitHub API of course) which gets random users (this is speculation though).

Yes, it's very likely that they did it in this way. In my case, "https://github.com/ycombiiinator/-co" mentioned me in an issue, and I've never known such a repo and have no access to. Very annoying.
