Student application rejected despite valid certificate

Hi everyone,

My student certificate is in English, contains my full name and university name (Karabuk University), but my application has been rejected multiple times with reasons that are not accurate. Could someone from the Education team please help?

Go to the GitHub Education support page

Open a ticket explaining your situation.

Mention that your certificate is in English and already includes your full name and Karabuk University.

Attach a clear copy of the certificate again so the team can verify it.

Try logging out and logging back into GitHub before reapplying, as for some reason the application system gets stuck in a loop even after the required information has been updated.

If you still get rejected, contact support by opening a ticket here, select "Other" and explain your problem.

I followed your advice and updated my profile as suggested. However, after reapplying the rejection reason has changed:

"The GitHub account you are using was recently created, and you appear to be having difficulty demonstrating your academic affiliation. Please wait a few days then try again."

Does this mean I should simply wait for some time before trying again, or is there anything else I can do now to help speed up the process?

There's no need to do anything to speed up the process. Just wait about a week, and then you'll be able to submit your application.

By the way, my problem has been solved. I selected “Others” while uploading my proof certificate, and my application was approved. Thanks to everyone who tried to help😊!
