Description
I used pip install opencv-python
to install the latest cv2
(version: 4.10.0.84) on Windows. The return value of cv2.getBuildInformation()
says the libjpeg-turbo
is not built with SIMD support. I can build from source by myself to enable the SIMD, but I think it would be better if the pre-built wheels could directly support it.
Expected behaviour
cv2.getBuildInformation()
should return:
Media I/O:
ZLib: build (ver 1.3.1)
JPEG: build-libjpeg-turbo (ver 3.0.3-70)
SIMD Support Request: YES
SIMD Support: YES
Actual behaviour
It returns:
Media I/O:
ZLib: build (ver 1.3.1)
JPEG: build-libjpeg-turbo (ver 3.0.3-70)
SIMD Support Request: YES
SIMD Support: NO
Write here what went wrong.
Steps to reproduce
- example code:
import cv2
print(cv2.getBuildInformation())
- operating system: Windows
- architecture (e.g. x86): x86_64
- opencv-python version: 4.10.0.84
Issue submission checklist
- This is not a generic OpenCV usage question (looking for help for coding, other usage questions, homework etc.)
- I have read the README of this repository and understand that this repository provides only an automated build toolchain for OpenCV Python packages (there is no actual OpenCV code here)
- The issue is related to the build scripts in this repository, to the pre-built binaries or is a feature request (such as "please enable this additional dependency")
- I'm using the latest version of
opencv-python
