Tolerance in Cutouts in Laser Cut Parts #525

@knickels

Description

@knickels

The cutouts in the body panels seem to have too low of a tolerance.

In the body doc, it says:

You will need the 20 or 22mm M4 standoffs, the 3x5 hole plate, ...
but the BOM has 22mm so I ordered them (since I just uploaded the digikey BOM).

If you put 22mm standoffs in the hinge assembly, the cutout hits the corner socket heads and inner heads.
If you put on 20mm standoffs, the inner socket heads hit the other side of the cutout.
If you put a 1mm washer with the 20mm standoffs, it fits down ok but catches on the socket heads nearest the hinges when you open/close.

If we expand the U-shaped cutouts by 1mm or so in all dimensions, you should have enough clearance no matter what specific standoff is used.

I'll probably just do this with a manual file, but it would be good to update the cad. The OPRS onshape leads to another document, which leads to another document, which just has a STEP import, so not sure how to do that.
