error: command '/clang64/bin/llvm-ar' failed: None

No idea where setuptools is getting the incomplete /clang64/bin/llvm-ar from, seems the missing extension is breaking things? @lazka @Biswa96

In working GCC envs it already uses just the unqualified ar.
