Background agents - Git repos with no commits don't appear to work

If you try to start a background session in a git repo that has no commits, the session will appear to move forward without creating a worktree, but then it seems to get confused about what the CWD is. This has the effect of the agent not seeing your workspace files, and therefore, the task will fail.

Solution: Ensure we fallback to using the workspace/folder without worktrees.

Steps to repro

• Open folder
• Initialize git (thats all, nothing else)
• Start background session what is my current directory
• Should start a bg session without worktree and display the current directory
