Yes, they removed support for user name and password uploads. I didn't notice we were using those. Here is an example of how I do it https://github.com/sanders41/meilisearch-python-sdk/blob/main/.github/workflows/pypi_publish.yaml. I'm using poetry so it is slightly different, but the idea is the same. To make the update you need to create a token in pypi (which I won't have access to) and add it to the GitHub secrets.
