Wanted change

I appreciate this would be a significant undertaking, and has probably been discussed and considered, but just wanted to put it out there as I am personally convinced Kubernetes integration is essential for wider adoption plus would be a great fit with many benefits.

• Kubernetes provider for running the containers
• a streamlined process/pattern to deploy and run the Server on Kubernetes (Operator, helm charts)
• declarative configuration

Reason for change

• All the benefits of running on K8s (scalability, HA, declarative management, availability of established K8s primitives, lifecycle management, operator patterns, networking, storage, etc etc)
• Potential integration with the vast K8s ecosystem (tooling for monitoring, networking, gitops-friendly deployment, etc.)
• Wider adoption and corporate/academic interest (hopefully leading to additional collaboration)
