Does this support sending messages as well?

Can / Does this library support sending midi messages as well - such as turning on lights on a controller, etc.

short answer is no. long answer is yes: midi.io is just a websocket proxy for a core midi library: https://github.com/justinlatimer/node-midi

node-midi does support sending messages, but my proxy doesn't expose that. funny oversight on my part. it should be easy to add if you want- i'm not sure i'll find the time soon.

around here it seems like you'd want to create an output:

var output = new midi.output();
output = output.openPort(port);

then proxy the socket message to the output

socket.on('message', function(msg) {
    output.sendMessage(msg);
});

something like that should work. would be happy to merge it into master if you get it working.
