Connectivity: ipv6 only + IP rotate
Problem: Many videos intermittently fail to load with similar error to "video append of 287277b failed for segment #0 in playlist 4-placeholder-uri-4".
Remediation: Refreshing several times can sometimes resolve the issue. Restarting companion can sometimes resolve the issue.

Any information or advice about this?

It changes. I can come back to the same video later (hours or days later) and it works fine.

As an example, this is one that I've had ongoing issues with. It wasn't working all day yesterday, then worked an hour ago, and has stopped working since.

When encountering those videos that load/work properly, there are no errors or flaws anywhere to be found. And playback is solid.
I was previously using sig_helper and never encountered this error before. Thought I'd switch over to companion due to constantly being IP blocked (this didn't help unfortunately). Thought I'd make the move and implement ipv6 rotator.

try without it, if that makes a diff.

Checking in with an update - the problem doesn't happen on Firefox. It was only happening on Chromium. I also didn't have the issue on affected videos when using Clipious (Android) connected to the same invidious instance.
