• Leave this package as is
• Implement coreapi variant as go-ipfs-http-client (currently https://github.com/ipfs/go-ipfs-http-api)
• Mark this as deprecated once coreapi implementation is ready

IMO, yes.

@Stebalien - sounds like https://github.com/ipfs/go-ipfs-http-client should now generally be the default choice over this one, so this issue is probably as resolved as it ever will be.
