The bug
Since I've switched to Beta on Android, when playing a video from timeline or album, the players "options overlay" (pause button, video timeline, share button, ...) won't disappear.
As a user, I'd except the overlay to automatically disappear after a few seconds, so I can watch my video without distraction.
As a user, I want to force the overlay to disappear when touching the video (or any other "empty" space) on the screen. I also want to force showing the overlay again by touching the video (or any other empty space) at any time.
Encountered behavior:
- The overlay doesn't automatically disappear for me.
- Force disappear by touching empty space doesn't (reliably) work: Given a video with landscape aspect orientation. While the device orientation is also landscape, touching empty space (the video, as aspect orientation matches and whole screen is filled) won't close the overlay. When changing device orientation to portrait, you can force the overlay to disappear by touching any empty space above the video.
As (at least my ;)) videos tend to be landscape, this is really annoying.
