[beta] Video-Player overlay not disappearing

I have searched the existing issues, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate report.

The bug

Since I've switched to Beta on Android, when playing a video from timeline or album, the players "options overlay" (pause button, video timeline, share button, ...) won't disappear.

As a user, I'd except the overlay to automatically disappear after a few seconds, so I can watch my video without distraction.
As a user, I want to force the overlay to disappear when touching the video (or any other "empty" space) on the screen. I also want to force showing the overlay again by touching the video (or any other empty space) at any time.

Encountered behavior:

1. The overlay doesn't automatically disappear for me.
2. Force disappear by touching empty space doesn't (reliably) work: Given a video with landscape aspect orientation. While the device orientation is also landscape, touching empty space (the video, as aspect orientation matches and whole screen is filled) won't close the overlay. When changing device orientation to portrait, you can force the overlay to disappear by touching any empty space above the video.

As (at least my ;)) videos tend to be landscape, this is really annoying.

Reproduction steps

1. Take a video in landscape orientation with your mobile device
2. Upload the video to Immich
3. Open the video in Immich app, with device still in landscape orientation -> video play launches
4. see the options overlay (e.g. pause button in the center) never disappears
5. touch on empty space on the video -> options overlay won't disappear
6. switch device orientation to portrait
7. touch empty (black) space above the video -> options overlay disappears

Having this same issue, trying to tap in a blank spot to have the UI go away doesn't work right, seems to only go away if I tap anywhere above the play/pause button in landscape, but horizontally in line with the button does nothing. Portrait mode also only seems to work tapping on the video or above the video, but not below.

And additionally, not mentioned in this issue, the play/pause button also does nothing for me in landscape. And play/pause also seems unreliable after switching back from landscape mode to portrait.

Kinda hard to explain, attaching a video with touch overlay to help illustrate the issue.

Video playback controls overlay does not disappear for me too.
In the latest version (v.1.140.1 build.3011) of the Immich Android app, the video playback overlay (play/pause button and seek bar) does not disappear after a few seconds as expected. Instead, it stays visible during the entire playback. The overlay (play/pause button and seek bar) remains visible for the entire playback, blocking part of the video.
My device is a Google Pixel 8 Pro.

It does seem better, but it's not entirely fixed for me. I'm still not able to play/pause in landscape mode, and any part of the screen horizontally in line with play/pause also doesn't react at all. Seems to all be only while in landscape mode now though @mertalev
