v1.131.1: RangeError: Incorrect locale information provided

The bug

I have two instances where I just upgraded the docker install to 1.131.1 and both log the above in the browser console.

Confirming that this is seen for others (me) as well - so less likely to be user-specific

I tried it in an Inconito window, and it worked. Clearing the storage (cookies, session, etc.) for the site (origin) also helps. One of my 2 instances remains deliberately broken if you need someone to test fixes with.

What language is the web app set to?

I did a quick investigation on this - and may have found the cause.
Looking at the 'Local Storage' for the site in chrome I can see a Key/Value for 'locale' where the value is blank.
If I change that value to 'en-AU' (my locale) - the site loads fine.
Clearing the site local storage also fixes the issue as the field is recreated if it doesn't exist

Looking at the code it appears to be failing at this line (I'm not familiar with typescript so I'm not certain on this)

The locale should be coming from a line line "import { locale } from '$lib/stores/preferences.store';" (this is set in a bunch of places, I don't know which specific one is setting on this occasion)

The question is why the value is blank in the first place, and perhaps some fallback could be added in case it is blank/missing?

To confirm for the devs... My timeline was not showing anything, however i could still see memories, search, map, etc, I did not see any console errors, but I tried "Incognito window", and it works normal. This happened as soon as I upgraded to 1.131.1.

@cjd does the timeline show anything when the error is triggered?

When the error was triggered I couldn't even get to the initial page (spinning logo is all that is onscreen)
I can easily reproduce at any time by going to the chrome devtools and deleting the value for 'locale' in Local storage.
If I do that, and then reload the page - it sits there spinning the logo, and has the error in the chrome dev console.
If I then go and enter a locale in the field and reload - it all works fine

I'm also affected by this bug after updating to v1.131.1 from v1.130.3.

When loading the page I only get the spinning logo and if I look at the browser local storage the locale key is empty. If I manually set it to it (my locale) the problem is solved and I can see my photos
