Allow multi-selection with ctrl button

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
On desktop browser, we can use shift shortcut for multi-selection: click on the first file, press shift, then click on the last file to be selected.

Describe the solution you'd like
What I would like to be added is also the ability to multi-select using ctrl modifier. Click on the first file, press ctrl, click second file, then click third file, let go of ctrl button, now I should have 3 files selected, and they don't have to be sequential.

Describe alternatives you've considered
The existing shift key press only allow multi-selection with sequential files.

This should work already... shift click selects all "between" the first and recent click.

Ctrl-click adds each clicked.

In this video I tried shift and it works, then I tried ctrl it doesn't. You can turn on the audio to hear the simulated mouse click sound by screen recording software to see when I clicked mouse, though the keyboard key press cannot be recorded, you will have to take my word for it...

Any thoughts on how to debug this? What info do you need? I observe the following:

1. There is no console error
2. There is no network error
3. Tried different view mode and size, same result
4. Just in case it's some browser extension, I tried in VM, clean install windows, chrome, no extension, same result.
5. Tried firefox, same result

Well, I tried on a windows machine and got the same issue, so that's good I can try to fix that laptop.
