Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
For me personally the OG filebrowser's icon and selection effects are better looking.

I did a little side by side comparison:

I know full well that this is a personal thing, a ton of people would prefer the quantum UI. But for me the OG style is more standard material design. I presume quantum is a fork of the OG which has the OG's code base, maybe it is not too difficult to bring back the style choice? It is a nit pick, I'll admit, but it does feel a bit off every time I use it.

Thanks for the videos but hard to see the difference, the inverted icon maybe?

This version has all icons with a background and uniform rounded corners, which is why I got rid of the inverted icon effect.

But I also see a small shadow and hover difference that I could definitely improve.

Sorry I was not specific enough. What I meant was the grey icon in quantum, in OG filebrowser the icon sort of blends in, and then when selected there's the inverted color you mentioned.

I was not talking about shadow and hover, these are much less noticeable.

The rounded corners are a nice touch, maybe it is possible to use it everywhere else but the icon? If the icon doesn't have a grey background, the shape of it won't be visible anyway since it blends in with the rest of the file/folder box.

I definitely appreciate the feedback, I have some ideas how to make sure there's contrast and it doesn't blend in... It's a subtle thing, but it matters.

I guess from an abstractive perspective, what I feel off is that:

1. When not selected, the grey icon sticks out too much like a sore thumb;
2. When selected, the grey icon doesn't change at all which feels odd.

The style in the new version looks much better, thanks!

Although I still like the OG style a bit better, but that is just personal, the current quantum implementation is also good.
