Some text based files are not able to edit.

They all are same .log files and some are able to edit. Some are not.

Expected behaviour
Can edit all text based files.

it has to be utf-8 formatted text, I am guessing their is some format issue with the file.

Perhaps enabling debug logs would show the error in the server logs?

I checked it. They're all utf-8 formatted. I'll try debug it and updateinformation here.

No. There's no error. I double checked those files. They all are utf-8 formatted. I'll upload those two files.

Hey, I checked the problematic file (u8bkup.log) and noticed that the editor shows it fine if it's 69 lines long, but fails when it is 70 lines long (tried using both head and tail for trimming)

to reproduce:
head -n 69 u8bkup.log > head69.log
head -n 70 u8bkup.log > head70.log
tail -n 69 u8bkup.log > tail69.log
tail -n 70 u8bkup.log > tail70.log

there's nothing in line 70 that causes the preview to not be available, so it is probably a bounds issue somewhere.

I have a fix for the issue, which is related to the chinese characters causing the utf-8 detection to fail (only sometimes)

Theres a character in this file that lands on the boundry of the header that causes filebrowser to think the file is not utf-8
