Is normal that all the files are executables by default?

I uploaded some files from my home directory (an image) and then downloaded it again on other computer. I've saw that the image was executable now (like with chmod +x permissions).

If I navigate to the directory which have my files, I see that most of them are like that.

Idk if open an issue about this...

thats a great observation and definitely could be an issue. I can see that is happening and will address this.

When I was having this issue, I was running the container as root.
Now I'm running the container as filebrowser user, and I don't have that problem anymore. I'll create another container as root and test.

Running the container as root, all the files created on the WebUI makes them owned by root (I think that is normal).
And I can access to the folders/files, but just on read-only. I can't edit them with my user, only with root and from the WebUI.

yep I believe that is expected behavior for 744 and 755 permissions
