Example code to enable compression and decompression on client side ?

What are you trying to achieve?

I want to enable compression and decompression on the client side call. But I am not able to find any documentation regarding this.

What have you tried so far?

I have looked into issue #611 and #707 but could not find any sample code to achieve the same. How do I do that?

You can configure compression via the messageEncoding property on CallOptions.

As an example:

// Configure encoding
let encodingConfiguration = ClientMessageEncoding.Configuration(
  forRequests: .gzip, // use gzip for requests
  acceptableForResponses: .all, // accept all supported algorithms for responses
  decompressionLimit: .ratio(20) // reject messages and fail the RPC if a response decompresses to over 20x its compressed size
)

// Enable compression with configuration
let options = CallOptions(messageEncoding: .enabled(encodingConfiguration))

// Use the options to make a request
let rpc = echo.get(request, callOptions: options)

yeah figured it out from java counter part of grpc and found out that it resides inside call options in java.
