We found ourselves wanting a little more control over the logs for our use-case, so it seemed to make sense to make use of register's logLevel option for that.

I didn't update the docs because I think the assumption is that all plugins should use logLevel if it is set. If that's not the case I'd be happy to update them.

When registering the plugin, you could specify the logLevel as an
option, but this was ignored by the plugin.
I don't know why someone would pass in undefined, but it should fail
early.

I wasn't 100% sure what to put, but now the docs at least mention the existence of the option.
