Can't connect to ESP32-C3 peripheral

I have a ESP32-C3 Super-Mini. I tried running the ble_bas_peripheral example. Advertising works, but when I try to connect to it using the nRF Connect app, it doesn't work. Sometimes I get this error:

INFO - [host] disconnection event on handle 1, reason: Connection Failed to be Established / Synchronization Timeout
INFO - [gatt] disconnected: Err(Connection Failed to be Established / Synchronization Timeout)

I'm not sure what's causing this. There was a time when BLE was working perfectly for me, around 2 years ago, and I think I was using this same ESP32-C3 Super-Mini. I also tried running the https://github.com/taks/esp32-nimble example on it, and the same problem happens.

Most likely bad reception from the central or something damaged on the board.

I don't think there's anything wrong with my phone's Bluetooth so I suspect the esp32c3 might be faulty or broken. When I get the chance I will try running the peripheral example on one board and central example on another board, because my end goal is to make two esp32c3s communicate with each other through BLE.
