"A mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work if it is not open." - Frank Zappa.-

Ezequiel Maraschio — Director of Engineering at Circle Medical. I build teams that ship healthcare products patients and providers depend on.

I've been writing or leading software for 19+ years — roughly half as an engineer, half leading engineers. At Circle Medical I'm currently the only management layer between fifteen engineers and our CTO, with five pods under my care: activation & acquisition, clinical workflows, revenue cycle management, operations automation, and data & infrastructure. I helped grow Circle's engineering team from five to a peak of 30+ during a stretch of 200% year-on-year revenue growth, and then led the team through the harder, quieter work of rightsizing into the focused shape we run today. Both arcs are part of the job.

What I care about at work:

  • Org design under real constraints — flat structures, pod-based delivery, hiring and retention without a blank check.
  • Operational rigor — DORA, OKRs, and incident response as the connective tissue between strategy and shipping.
  • Engineering in regulated healthcare — HIPAA, clinical safety, and patient experience as first-class concerns, not afterthoughts.
  • AI as leverage, not theater — internal LLM tooling and agentic workflows judged by outcomes, not vibes.
  • Decisions that unblock — one clear call with stated trade-offs beats consensus theater every time.

I started as a developer in Buenos Aires and spent more than a decade across ad-tech, fintech, and SaaS before landing in healthcare. At Thirty Madison I worked alongside 100+ engineers on a portfolio of telehealth brands (Keeps, Cove, Evens). At Circle Medical I've progressed from Senior Engineer to Senior Engineering Manager to Director, working on the Secure Messaging System, our Revenue Cycle Management pipeline, cloud infrastructure modernization, and the AI engineering practice we're building now. Hands-on with Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, AWS, and the modern LLM toolchain (Anthropic, OpenAI, agentic frameworks).

I do all of this from Buenos Aires, where I live with my family. Outside of work: a father, an obsessive reader of tech books and manga, and a believer that the best teams are built on trust, clarity, and a healthy sense of humor.

I'm always open to connecting with others in tech to exchange ideas and explore what's next. Drop me a message anytime
