Steps to reproduce

Install the android app. Press sign in. An error pops up "server is unavailable"

What did you expect?

The prompt to select a server and input credentials

What happened instead?

Error:server is unavailable

I've tried this with the latest and previous app version, on two devices and with wifi and mobile data.

I'd like to get the option to connect to my own server even if the matrix.org homeserver is down.

That I can do on the desktop version, but not on android.

matrix.org is blocked in Russia, so I cannot sign-in on Android at all without using proxy. I need to wait for connection timeout (which is like 30+ secs) to be able change the homeserver. UX is really trash.
