What problem are you facing?

Currently trying to connect to an AWS MSK Serverless cluster with Pod Identity and getting the following

Ignoring, HTTP credential provider invalid endpoint host, "169.254.170.23", only loopback hosts are allowed. <nil>                                                                                                   
[ERROR] unable to initialize sasl; broker: seed 0, err: NoCredentialProviders: no valid providers in chain. Deprecated.                                                                                                                  │

How could Crossplane help solve your problem?

Apparently newer libraries does support Pod Identity authentication to AWS MSK

I can confirm that updating the aws sdk to v1.31.13 fixes the issue
