Michael played a foundational role in the creation and growth of the containerd project.
In the early days of containerd, he architected it with a focus on simplicity, robustness,
and extensibility - principles that continue to define the project today. Michael's
fingerprints are all over the container ecosystem from the early days of Docker to
libcontainer into runc. We are incredibly proud to have worked alongside him and for the
huge amount of heart and soul he poured into the project to make it the success it is today.
