GUI settings watch fails if no client settings were made yet

The GUI then does not see subsequent multipass set client.gui.autostart=false until it is restarted.

Has this bug really been fixed? Because I am having the same issue with multipass version 1.7.0-dev.742+g981cf157 (edge).

Creating the directory with the requested permissions causes the following error:

Qt: Session management error: Could not open network socket

Not changing the default permissions of 0775 (rwxrwxr-x) after the mkdir results in an access error (as expected):

Or was this bug report only for the inotify_add_watch warning (due to a missing multipass.conf) that was fixed by #1255? If so, should I create a new issue?
