Board will not completely powered off

With Kernel 3.14 a BeagleBoneBlack will not completely powered off,
wehen I use commands like 'poweroff' or 'shutdown -h now'.

With Kernel 3.8 this was possible ...

In Kernel 3.8 there was a function 'rtc_power_off' in 'rtc_omap.c'
with this function it was possible to power off the board after shutdown.

in all later Kernels this function is missing ...

What's happend to this function? Why it was removed?

How can I power off the board completely?

It was never ported from 3.8... lots of little things are missing.. If you find it before me, feel free to send a patch. ;)
