focus_follows_mouse doesn't work correctly

I've started to notice that focus_follows_mouse autofocus turns off by itself. My guess it is somehow related to chrome apps screwing up macos NS window functions, because I have a delay when autofocus changes window in and out of a based chrome application. Also found out that autorise option gives an error.

The correct option is autoraise. I think the flakyness is related to some of the menu-handling and pop-up window quality of life changes that was attempted a long time ago. Not sure if it is better to revert those changes or not.

I am experiencing the same issue where focus_follows_mouse stops working. Restarting the yabai service fixes it temporarily, but it stops working again after a while. A workaround is to use standalone software for this function. https://github.com/sbmpost/AutoRaise is an excellent choice.

I don't think that an app strictly made only for autoraise is worth it. Then better take a look at Hammerspoon or on other multi-tools.

Yeah, you can choose whatever solution you feel the best. Just wanted to share this particular solution as it works straight out of the box - no configuration or coding required - in case others are facing the same issue and just want a quick fix.

Yet still, any desktop application is made of layers. The code for an autoraise is 2 lines of text. But in an application, with all those unneeded layers, it will be more than 5mb, while running on macos it will be 30-50mb or even more in active RAM. I believe I am not the only one, who doesn't want to invest free system resources into nothing, while many applications want it all and are always hungry for actual hard work.
