Breaking changes

Pre-installed Az PowerShell module on all OSs will be updated to v14.6.0.

Target date

Image deployment will start on Monday January 26th, 2026 and will take about 3 days.

The motivation for the changes

We want to provide a more recent version preinstalled.
Root issue: #13365

Possible impact

If your workflows rely on Az cmdlets with behavior that changed between major versions, you may encounter compatibility issues. In such cases, pinning a specific Az module version is recommended.

Mitigation ways
